For transient local refrigeration analgesia (freezing) where cooling is beneficial or as a precursor to a minor surgical procedure (eg. Sports injuries (strains, bruises, sprains), minor surgical procedures , piercing, chiropody (foot care pedicure), muscle cramps, cold therapy in case of swelling, muscle pain, tenosynovitis (tennis elbow), joint ligament complaints.)
Direct Stream aerosol is designed for targeted application (eg minor surgery and piercings). Fine Spray aerosol will cover a wider skin area so is the better option for applying to arms and legs and if being used to numb an area prior to administering an IM Injection.
Medogesic should not be applied to open wounds.

About Medogesic®
Medogesic is a fast-acting, hypoallergenic, vapo-coolant spray that provides rapid, transient, topical analgesia for minor procedures.
The active ingredient, ethyl chloride, acts as a local analgesic (pain relief) when sprayed onto the skin which makes the skin cold and less sensitive as the liquid evaporates.
The spray is very useful for children (>3) prior to injection (as well as adults who are needle phobic) and is also useful for minor surgical procedures, sports injuries, chiropody, muscle cramps, muscle pain, tennis elbow or joint ligament complaints.
